The U10A tryouts begin Monday, September 11th and continue through the rest of next week. All players will receive a minimum of three hours of ice and participate in a skills session, a small area games (SAGs) session and an intrasquad game. There will also be separate goalie evaluations. All necessary information for the first three sessions appears below.

Players/goalies will be sorted into two groups for the September 11^th and 13^th ice times - Groups A & B. Please find your player/goalie's tryout jersey number and jersey colour for these sessions in the table below.
Note: these groups are not the same as the conditioning skate groups.

Monday, Sept 11

1) Skills Session

The drills for this session will be posted on the U10 page of the Sting website. Please review them with your player prior to their ice time. There will be brief demos offered, but time will be tight and players being prepared in advance will allow these sessions to run as smoothly as possible
Sessions will be held at Richcraft Sensplex - Potvin Arena. Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your ice time to check-in.

Wednesday, Sept 13

2) Small Area Games (SAGs)

The drills for this session will also be posted on the U10 page of the Sting website. Please review them with your player prior to their ice time.
Sessions will be held at Fred Barrett Arena

2) Goalie Evaluations

The goalie evaluations will take place Friday afternoon at TD Place.

What's next?

There will be intrasquad games on Saturday, Sept 16th - players will be grouped into teams and I will email you Thursday evening with the teams and ice times.
The intrasquad games will take place at 7am and 8am, at McNabb Arena
First releases will be done on Saturday afternoon/evening via email.
There will be up to two more ice times (Sept. 17 & 19) before the A team is made.

While tryouts can be a stressful time, the process is meant to place every player at the proper level for their development. We are all excited about the prospect of a new season, and staying positive through these early days can set the tone for the year ahead. A little encouragement goes a long way!

We hope that your player/goalie enjoys their tryout experience and has fun while out on the ice! Know that we have an experienced and committed coaching staff at all levels of U10 who will ensure Sting players have a great season!
